Bad registrar experience

Come Feb. 1st my domain www.rocketsciencephotography.com was expiring, and would be needing to be renewed for the year, I’ve had that domain with the same registrar, solid-hosting.net since 2005. However when I went to contact them about renewing the domain, I received no reply or response from them. After receiving no reply, I decided to try transferring the domain to another registrar. But they would not, and have not replied to the new registrar’s request for authorization.

Now the domain is expired, and I have no way to contact them, and they won’t reply to the several emails & support tickets I’ve sent.

What do I do now??!!

Apparently I will not be able to use that domain anymore, great. I wonder how many people have lost their domain in a similar situation?

I highly recommend not doing business with solid-hosting.net and be sure to check out your domain registrar’s reviews before signing up with them, apparently its risky business.

And, rocketsciencephotography will be out of commission for the foreseeable future. I will continue to use my other domain, www.photogoose.com

2010 High School Prom, booking dates now

Its Prom planning season, and were looking forward to working with some great students and taking some great Prom pictures. If your school is looking for a Prom or High School Event Photographer in San Diego, Orange County or Southern California, let us know now, dates are booking fast.

~On-site picture previewing- we always take at least a couple shots of each couple with a couple different poses, and then the students can view the pictures and pick which one they want in their Prom package, pretty cool!
~Best prom Pose contest- we offer a $50 cash prize to the couple that comes up with the best Prom pose of the night!
~Multiple backgrounds and shooting areas- for larger high schools we offer multiple set ups to reduce the waiting lines at the Prom.

Beauty shoot for European School of Makeup

We recently did a beauty shoot for Anna with The European School of Makeup – downtown L.A., we shot 4 looks on 2 models for two of the graduating students at their downtown location. Great school, and the students did a great job, here are a couple of the shots, more coming soon:

Here are a few shots from a recent Fashion shoot with model Alicia, these were shot at Coronado beach, one of the nicest beaches I’ve seen so far in Southern California, the sand is super fine. We had to cancel the shoot a couple previous dates because the weather wasn’t good, and it was too windy. I was worried this day was going to be too windy also, but the weather ended up being absolutely perfect!
